Help The Pavlik Foundation make a difference

What is Kids Pantry

The Kids Pantry program, run by The Pavlik Foundation, provides nutritious weekend food hampers to children experiencing food insecurity in select schools across Barrie. Kids Pantry focuses specifically on supporting students on weekends, when school meal programs are unavailable. By ensuring children have access to healthy, balanced meals, the program helps support their physical development and ability to focus and learn in the classroom. Kids who are well-nourished are better equipped to thrive academically and socially. The program is offered to children identified by their schools as needing extra support, ensuring that no child goes hungry during the weekends.

About The Pavlik Foundation

Why We Started Kids Pantry

At The Pavlik Foundation, we believe that every child deserves access to healthy, nutritious food. Kids Pantry was created to address the gap in food support over weekends, ensuring children have the fuel they need to grow, learn, and thrive. This program is specifically designed to reach children who are in crisis or facing food insecurity and are recommended by their schools for extra support.

Partner with Us to Feed the Future

Kids Pantry relies on the generous support of donors, sponsors, and grant funding to continue providing essential food services to children in need. Your sponsorship or grant will help us extend the program’s reach, ensuring that more children receive nutritious meals over the weekends.

By partnering with The Pavlik Foundation, you can:

  • Sponsor a child’s weekend meals for just $25 per weekend
  • Support an entire school for one year at $13,000
  • Help expand the program to more schools, reaching more children who need assistance

Why Sponsor Kids Pantry?

  •  Your contribution directly impacts children's lives by providing essential nutrition.
  • All funds raised go directly toward the purchase of food and operating costs for the program.
  • You will be part of a sustainable, community-driven initiative that is creating long-term positive change.

We are always seeking new partners to help fund this crucial initiative. If you are interested in supporting Kids Pantry through sponsorship or grants, please contact us.

Your Support In Action

Kids Pantry provides healthy, nutritious food options based on Canada’s Food Guide. Each child receives a weekend food hamper that may include whole grains, fresh fruits, vegetables, and protein options. The cost of supporting one child is approximately $1,300 per year. With your help, we can continue delivering fresh, culturally-appropriate meals to children who need them most.

Cost Breakdown:

  • $25 per child per weekend
  • $1,300 per child per year
  • $13,000 for a full school year sponsorship of one school (10 students)

By contributing to Kids Pantry, you will help alleviate food insecurity, reduce hunger, and empower children to succeed. Every dollar raised ensures that children don’t have to go hungry on weekends.
